Grow Arugula

November 6, 2018

Arugula is a tough, prolific, easy-to-grow fresh green with the flavor of black pepper. Plants are compact with small root systems and are easy to grow in containers. Provide 6 inches of space between the base of each plant, or plant in 6-inch containers indoors.

Start picking argula when leaves are 2 to 3 inches long. The flowers are also edible. Harvest stems from outside the central growing point, which allows new leaves to emerge from the center.
