Leslie F. Halleck, Senior Horticulturist. M.S., CPH
As a degreed and Certified Professional Horticulturist (ASHS), Leslie provides horticultural consulting services to residential property, farm, and estate owners. Identifying issues and opportunities in your property an landscape before you start a new project or renovate an existing area will save you a lot of disappointment and money in the long run.
Perhaps you need to get good landscape management practices for in place for DIY care, or make adjustments with your current maintenance company. If you have a larger property or estate that needs good horticultural oversight, Leslie can take point. She can plug-in to work directly with you or your professional landscape care company, designer, or landscape architect to make sure the right plants are chosen, placed, and cared for properly year-round. Leslie can also assist with organic methods and small farming projects. We support your work with site and plan review, plant selection and placement recommendations, basic planting plans, existing design enhancements and adjustments, maintenance recommendations, and product sourcing.
Leslie takes a no-nonsense approach to horticulture; if you have a plant where it shouldn't be, or a lawn that's just not going to grow in the shade, she won't mince words with you and she won't promise you it can be fixed if she doesn't believe it can be. You'll always get direct and accurate advice as to action you need to take to get your landscape looking it's best. As a Certified Professional Horticulturist, Leslie is also qualified to provide detailed reports that can be used for documentation, legal purposes, or legal claims.
Consultations can be conducted on-site, in our office in East Dallas (near the Dallas Arboretum), or online or phone when applicable. Leslie's consulting services can be hired as needed or with an ongoing monthly retainer. Leslie has a 2-hour minimum for consulting services, plus travel time.
