Women in Horticulture: Leslie Halleck
In honor of Women's History Month and International Women's Day, I decided to speak out on some of what I do to empower women in the green industry. As a woman in the horticulture industry and a business owner, I told a bit of my story and hit on some of the important conversations we as women in the green industry - and ANY industry - need to be having to empower and support one another. This isn't always an easy topic for women to discuss, especially not out in the open. So I hope to help bring a voice to common challenges women face as they work to build their job roles and careers. In addition to giving talks around the country on a variety of horticulture industry and gardening topics, I also speak on women's empowerment.
