If you live in the South, around zones 7/8/9, then it's time to start planting your cool season vegetable and herb crops. They would include broccoli, cabbage, collard greens, kale, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, chard, cilantro, dill, fennel and more. Transplants of all these veggies should be showing up at your local independent garden center right now. You can also start to direct seed into your garden crops such as carrots, beets, spinach, turnips, parsnips, lettuces, any of the greens, English peas, fava beans and more.
